When you choose to delete your account:

  • All personal identifiers will be permanently erased. This includes your account profile, phone number, email address, delivery location, and any linked payment information (such as MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money details).

  • Transaction records linked to your identity will be deleted. We will remove order history and payment data that can be used to identify you, except where retention is required to comply with legal or regulatory obligations (such as for tax or anti-fraud purposes).

However, in order to continue improving our services and understanding usage patterns:

  • eMaketa will retain anonymized usage data. This includes data about how the app was used, such as:

    • Pages and screens you visited

    • Items you added to your market list

    • Products you clicked, liked, or purchased

    • Navigation patterns and app interaction history

  • This retained data will no longer be linked to your personal identity and will be used only in aggregated or anonymized form for analytics, product improvement, and business insights.

Once you confirm account deletion, this process is irreversible — you will need to create a new account if you wish to use eMaketa again.
